UPDATES

Hello! (:

For Photo-taking tomorrow, please fall in in FULL UNI, together with your hat in the school hall at 2.30 PM SHARP.
If your lessons end at 2.20, and you know that you can't tie your scarf and hair in like 5 mins, tie it at home first, or in school, during recess.
Punishments will be given to those who are late.
Also, remember to bring ALL PARTS of your uniform, if not you will not be in the photo.

Attire: Full Uniform ( Boots not needed) Hair should be plaited
Time: 2.30 PM
Venue: Hall
* Check your attire before coming

ATTENTION TO ALL GUIDES

Total Defence Silver Badge

Date: 21st October 2011 (Friday)
Time: 3pm to 4pm
Venue: Civil Defence Heritage Gallery

It is on a normal CCA day so everyone should come. If you are unable to come, please sms Joy your reason.
Also sms if you are able to come. Your sms should include your IC no. , class and full name.

I need each sms by Sunday(21/8). Patrol leaders, pass down this sms to sec 2 juniors or sec 3 peers:

There will be a total defence silver badge course on 21/10, on a normal cca day, friday.
Time is from 3-4pm. Sms Joy your IC no, class and full name if you can, latest by Sunday(21/8). If you cannot, tell Joy why.

Proficiency Badges

Hi Guides! (:

Please complete the following proficiency badges in your Girl Guides Logbook/ Notebook, and submit it by 18 October 2011.

Thrift Proficiency Badge

1. Having a savings account of at least 2 months’ standing and show that she has added to it regularly from her savings or pocket money.
2. Bring a certificate from her parents stating that she is not wasteful in the home and is keeping her belongings in good condition.

3. Bring to the test an article that proves that she is thrifty. E.g. repairing toys or equivalent.

Answer questions on the real meaning of thrift and keep a notebook over a period of at least a month of ways in which she is able to put thrift into practice.

Laundress Proficiency Badge
1. Wash and finish:
1.1 A white cotton article;
1.2 A coloured cotton garment;
1.3 A garment made from rayon or other synthetic fibre;
1.4 A woolen garment;
1.5 A pair of socks or stockings.
One garment in 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3 is to have inset sleeves.

(Have an acknowledgement slip and signature from your parents, to say that you have completed the above criterias.)

2. Describe the routine of washing day either with or without a washing machine.
Show knowledge of stain removal and use of water starch.
